I use a role model to define the archetypal users of a product, system or place. Roles are defined by their essential goals, tasks and content of interest. This role model defines the archetypal users of an Automated Electronic Defibrillator (AED) network. Roles include people who manage the devices, as well as volunteer responders who have agreed to be automatically notified when an AED is activated in times of crisis.
